The Hapag-Lloyd Foundation was founded in 1997 on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Hapag-Lloyd and since then has been involved in three areas: culture, social affairs and science.

We are responsible for the rebranding of the foundation as well as for the conception, design and implementation of its new website.


Colorful diversity

With the rebranding, the primary intent was to focus on the foundation's diverse commitment, which we symbolize visually with a colorful palette consisting of a total of 20 matching shades. Depending on the medium or application, these can be combined with each other in almost any combination.

The design concept is modular, which is particularly evident in the example of the Compliments Cards: On the front, coloured areas form a kind of pattern that varies from card to card. Only the logo in the top left-hand corner retains its fixed position.

Micro-interactions for a vibrant atmosphere

On the website, we use large-format duplex photos and combine them with colored backgrounds. Effects and micro-interactions provide additional vibrancy.

The technical basis for the implementation is the Statamic content management system, which can be used to manage website content easily and conveniently.
